Offering Six Divisions for Ages 3 - 18
All age groups take place during the spring in May and June. All competitive programs we offer will play into August.
RDBA follows Baseball Alberta Guidelines for age in each division.
*note* Females may play 1 extra year as and overage player, if they wish to do so.

Rally Cap
This is our beginner level for ages 3 (turning 4)-7
The Rally Cap Program is an initiative to enhance players’ and coaches’ first experience with the game of baseball! The program helps teach players the five FUNdamentals of baseball (Fundamental movement skills, throwing, receiving, hitting, base running) in a fun and safe environment. Players have the opportunity to learn, acquire and perform different baseball skills in order to progress through the different levels of the program.

Rookie
Our Rookie division is for kids age 8-9
The Rookie Ball Division is an instructional division. Players are taught the fundamentals of baseball such that they are exposed to playing positions and are taught throwing, catching, fielding, batting, defensive ready position and running the bases. The goal is for players are to have lots of hitting, lots of running, and lots of fun.

11U
This division is for kids age 10-11
First division in which players begin to pitch the ball. a catcher is used and playoffs follow the regular season. Players are not permitted to sit out for extended periods of time. All players are kept in the batting lineup and rotated by position.

- Develop skills in the outfield
- Make memories!
- Governed by Baseball Alberta and CABL

13U
This division is for ages 12-13
First division in which players begin to play by similar rules to those of the Major Leagues (with obvious Fair-Play modifications). Lead-offs and stealing bases are permitted, and pitchers use the same techniques that Major League pitchers do to hold runners on base.

15U
This division is for ages 14-15
- Have a more strategic game plan
- Still developing but have a more specific 2-3 positions of play

18U
This Division is for ages 16-18
- Similar objectives as 15U league
- Optional team tourneys
- Optional team provincial summer play
- Governed by baseball Alberta and CABL

Girls Program
Ages 9-12
At this time we are offering a girls only hardball team for 9U and 12U age groups. If you are a girl born in 2009/2010, you could be part of baseball HISTORY!! Girls baseball is going to be part of the 2025 Canada Summer Games!!! It’s very important that we start mobilizing our 11 year olds this year so Team AB is the strongest team in Canada!!!

Adult Slo-Pitch
Ages 18+
This is a league for underhand softball play. We are utilizing the SPN rule format and will be for any player over the age of 18. Spring league will run from May to July and a Summer league in August/September.

AA Competitive Hardball
Our AA program is for kids who want to play more than our recreational program offers. You will see tournament style games ranging from 2-3 weekends each month as well as practices during the week. This program is ran by Baseball Alberta and dates and times for weekends can be confirmed on their website. General play is from April to the first weekend in August. Team availability is based on interest.
Equipment
- Cleats (or runners for kids age 4-8)
- Jock and Jill protection for 11U and older
- Helmets are provided for kids age 3-8 and required for kids 11U and older
- Bats are provided
- Jersey and Ball hats provided by us for all ages
- Each team will decide on color of pants, belt, and socks once teams are selected
